We have arranged the Middle School day in order to:
Provide more time for music instruction
Provide more flexibility for participating in electives
Provide flex time at the end of the day to allow for students to participate in extracurricular activities at their home schools
Provide time for a 6th grade technology class.
These changes present a new ‘look’ for the school day, and choices are available. ( more about that later! )
Advanced Band will be offered on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Chorale will be offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
If a student does not want to be involved in the performance programs ( Band and Chorale) they will be taking a general music class.
STEM will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Students can select all 3, but must select at least 1 music option.
*Students who select all 3 elective options will have no study halls.
**Students desiring to take all three electives need to get approval from the administration.

Please select EITHER Band or Chorale. Students may request to take both Band and Chorale. These requests will require approval by the School Administration and the Music Department. If a student does not want to be involved in the performance programs ( Band and Chorale) they will be taking a general music class.
Discuss with your student what their interests are. You will be working on selecting Electives that will be reflected in your student’s schedule. These selections will be settled by June of 2026 and cannot be changed in the Fall. These selections need to reflect your student’s interest and willingness to commit. Take the time to think through and consider what you and your student can manage.
Advanced Band and Choir require mandatory attendance at 2 evening performances each year.
Lastly, we strive to accommodate all selections but may not be able to grant all of them due to class size and staffing considerations.
