No School - April 3-10, 2026 for Spring Break No School - April 3-10, 2026 for Spring Break
We have arranged the Middle School day in order to:
Provide more time for music instruction
Provide more flexibility for participating in electives
Provide flex time at the end of the day to allow for students to participate in extracurricular activities at their home schools
Provide time for a 6th grade Life Skills class.
These changes present a new look for the school day, with more choices for electives.
The following table shows the schedule of offered electives.
Period | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday |
8 | Choir | STEM | Choir | STEM | Choir |
9 | Band | Band | Band | STEM | Band |
If a student does not want to be involved in the performance programs (Band and Choir), they will be automatically enrolled in General Music.
Students may select all 3, but must select at least 1 music option.
*Students who select all 3 elective options will have no study halls.
**Requests to take all three electives will require approval from the School Administration.

If a student does not want to be involved in the performance programs (Band and Choir), they will automatically be enrolled in General Music.
Discuss with your student what their interests are. You will be working on selecting Electives that will be reflected in your student’s schedule. These selections will be settled by June of 2026 and cannot be changed in the Fall.
Take the time to think through and consider what you and your student can manage. These selections need to reflect your student’s interest and willingness to commit, as each elective is a full-year commitment. Advanced Band and Choir require mandatory attendance at 2 evening performances each year.
Lastly, we strive to accommodate all selections but may not be able to grant all of them due to class size and staffing considerations.
